This series is a photographic exploration of the duality of life in Rajasthan taken in November 2012.
The colorful dress and ornamental Jewelry of the women and the brightly colored turbans of the men are a constant contradiction to the barren desert landscape of their homeland.
The relationship of cultural costume and environmental landscape become a metaphor to the enduring strength of the human spirit against the hardships of life.
Some of these images have been exhibited in the Inside India exhibition at the Bin Mattar House in Bahrain (January -February 2014)
